Let the Music Guide You

Everyone I know interacts with God in a unique way, which is pretty cool. This year I oriented my small group for teen girls toward anyone who wanted to use their creativity to draw closer to God. I have a background in dance and theatre (and of course, photography) and my co-leader, Amy, is a mixed-media artist. I enjoyed this week's project so much I thought I'd share it. Amy taped butcher paper to my wall, turned on some music and told us to react to it using the paint, charcoal and chalk she'd brought. She told us not to think ahead, just to feel the music.
