When Travis and I got engaged my only workout/diet plan for the wedding was to just not gain weight. And while I stuck to that goal and managed to avoid stress-eating my way into a bigger dress size, if I had to do it over, I would be way more intentional about preparing myself for such a major life event.
With that in mind, I have some wedding workout inspiration for you. Allison Keppel is a professional dancer and certified yoga instructor, and I asked her to share a little expert advice about prepping for your wedding day ...
What would you say is a good approach to getting in shape for your wedding?
Approach a workout regimine with the question "how do I want to feel on my wedding day." Rather than focusing on losing weight, focus on workout activities that are enjoyable and lift the spirit. A combination of cardio and yoga can be really beneficial to keep your energy up, detox, focus the mind, and destress as you get closer to the wedding day. The big day is about you feeling good and confident with yourself and your partner.
